What is PhotoContestLive?+
PhotoContestLive is a free, real-time directory of international photography contests — including FIAP Salons, GPU Circuits, FIP Salons and open competitions worldwide. We curate, verify and publish deadlines so photographers never miss an entry window.
Is it free to use?+
Yes — 100% free for photographers. Browsing, searching, filtering, saving favourites and submitting contests are all free. We are supported by optional advertising from photography brands.
How do I enter a contest listed here?+
Click any contest card to view full details including the official website link. All entries are submitted directly through each contest's own website — PhotoContestLive is a directory, not an entry platform.
What are FIAP, GPU and FIP salons?+
These are the three main international photography federations. FIAP (Fédération Internationale de l'Art Photographique) and GPU (Global Photographic Union) grant internationally recognised distinctions (AFIAP, EFIAP, GPU Crown etc.) based on acceptances. FIP (Federation of Indian Photography) covers South Asian salons. Competing in their patronised salons counts towards these distinctions.
How do I submit a contest to the directory?+
Use the Submit Contest button in the navigation bar. Fill in the contest details and submit for review. Our admin team verifies and publishes approved listings within 48 hours.
How often is the directory updated?+
We update the directory continuously. New contests are added as soon as they are announced. Deadlines are verified against official sources. You can also enable Live Sync on supported devices to always see the latest data.
Can I save contests I'm interested in?+
Yes — create a free account and click the heart (♥) icon on any contest card to save it to your personal list. Access your saved contests from My Saved Contests in your profile menu.
What sections do most FIAP salons accept?+
Most FIAP salons accept four standard sections: Open Colour (C), Open Monochrome (M), Nature (NAT) and Photo Travel (PT). Some salons add themed sections like Journalism, Portrait or Wildlife. Check the individual contest detail for exact section requirements.
How do I advertise on PhotoContestLive?+
We offer banner advertising (728×90 leaderboard and sidebar placements) targeted at an engaged photography audience. Click Advertising Here in the navigation bar or use the contact form to enquire.
My data — where is it stored?+
Your account data (name, email, saved contests) is stored securely in your browser's localStorage and optionally synced to your own server if configured. We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties. See our Privacy & Terms page for full details.

PhotoContestLive ("we", "us", "the site") is a free directory of international photography contests. We curate contest information from public sources including FIAP, GPU and FIP to help photographers discover opportunities worldwide.

Contest listings link to external websites (FIAP, GPU, FIP and individual salon sites). We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of these external sites. We recommend reading their privacy policies before entering any competition.

We make every effort to ensure contest details (deadlines, fees, sections) are accurate. However, information may change after publication. Always verify entry details on the official contest website before submitting your work.

All photographs displayed on this site remain the property of their respective creators. PhotoContestLive does not claim ownership of any submitted or featured images. Contest descriptions are sourced from public announcements and official organiser websites.
